USER RESEARCH

INSIGHTS

After the initial research, I began conducting surveys and observations. I created a questionnaire with 8 questions, divided into three categories: general questions, questions for club managers and receptionists, and questions for trainers. In total, 42 employees from 3 different fitness clubs answered the questionnaire. Additionally, I conducted observations at the 'Lazuz' fitness club in Jerusalem.

The insights gleaned from surveys and observations proved invaluable in deciphering user needs and identifying their pain points effectively. Armed with this knowledge, I could now rank users' preferences, paving the way to craft the ultimate fitness club management software tailored precisely to their desires

COMPETITOR ANALYSIS

In Israel, two primary software programs manage fitness clubs.

Fizikal, the market leader for almost 30 years, and Arbox, a smaller software,

As a fitness club manager, I've used both, after evaluating users and reviews, I've found:

  • Cluttered UI

  • Excessive noise due to unnecessary content

  • Confusing content placement

  • Complex processes for simple actions

  • There aren't enough automatic actions that the customer can perform

  • Extensive software learning time

  • Non-linear sequence of actions (lack of wizards)
